Ragas Live 2018

  • WHAT: 24-Hour Music Festival with 24 back to back sets

  • WHERE: Pioneer Works, Brooklyn, NY

  • WHO: Audience of over 800+ attendees in person and over 1000+ listeners online | over 80+ musical artists

  • WHEN: October 6-7, 2020, from 6 pm - 6 pm

OBJECTIVE: Increase audience attendance and grow the festival from the previous year 2017, which was held at the Rubin Museum of Art. We did this through adjusting the time the festival was held to be from 6 pm - 6 pm, so that we'd have two "prime times" to attend. We also curated our artists in such a way that those performing around 6 pm both evenings would draw a significant crowd.

Ragas Live 2017

  • WHAT: 24-Hour Music Festival with 24 back to back sets

  • WHERE: Rubin Museum, New York, NY

  • WHO: Audience of over 500+ attendees in person and over 1000+ listeners online | over 80+ musical artists

  • WHEN: October 21-22, 2020, from 10 am - 10 am

OBJECTIVE: The Rubin Museum's focus for 2017 was "The World of Sound," so in conjunction with their focus on sound for the year, my team adapted our festival to be held overnight at the Rubin Museum of Art. As we planned for the festival in 2017 at the Rubin, we had to adjust to new requirements based on the space, for example, the theater at the Rubin could only hold a maximum of 140 guests at one time, therefore we had to develop a way that we could maximize the amount of guests to attend the festival, while also ensuring the festival maintained the welcoming, community focused atmosphere that we'd developed the year before. This required us to create a plan that would involve two stages for the festival and ways to allow participants to see the performances happening in the theater in other parts of the museum, when the theater was at capacity.

Ragas Live 2016

  • WHAT: 24-Hour Music Festival with 24 back to back sets

  • WHERE: Pioneer Works, Brooklyn, NY

  • WHO: Audience of over 350+ attendees in person and over 1000+ listeners online | over 80+ musical artists

  • WHEN: July 23 - 24, 2020, from 12 pm - 12 pm

OBJECTIVE: To take the feedback received from the musical artists from the previous 4 years of the festival, which had only occurred on the radio, and translate the experience into a Live Event with an in person audience, in a beautiful venue that allowed for multiple levels of engagement throughout the 24 hour long festival.
